12. This, given that such people tend to dominate discussion of these issues in the media, is a huge problem. Their audience laps it up: many people love the aesthetic approach to food, farming and countryside issues and really hate the empirical approach.

And creates a revenue shortfall of tens of billions of pounds (I’ve seen £34bn from @danneidle.bsky.social) over the next decade which would have to be recouped either through cuts in services to the rest of us, higher taxes on the rest of us, or almost certainly both.
Journalists at the Farage press conference repeating Reform's framing of this policy as "robin hood" because the non-dom fee will be redistributed to poorer workers, whilst missing the fact that it hands tens of billions of pounds in tax cuts to the wealthiest people already living in the UK
