Putin personally chose Steve Witkoff as a key backchannel to the U.S., per WSJ. The Kremlin’s outreach came via Saudi Crown Prince MBS, who relayed Putin’s interest in meeting Witkoff. After vetting Trump’s circle, Moscow settled on him, with aide Kirill Dmitriev involved in the effort.

The audio leak of Steve Witkoff advising the Russian side what to do, what to say and how to progress is nothing more but collaboration with Moscow, probably even more. It further confirms what I was writing on Sunday when the US Senators were actively rejected this.

If Republicans in Congress refuse to join us to extend the health care tax credits, more than 20 million Americans will see their premiums more than double.

We must act now to protect affordable health care for Americans.

This belt buckle from my dad's union, IBEW, followed me to Minnesota. I cannot overstate how much his union job benefited our family. Voters often state that they vote pro-family. There is no organization in the US more pro-family than a labor union. Enjoy your Labor Day (they gave us that too)!

The result of the talks in Alaska are:

Nothing was agreed upon. No questions were allowed. The Russian delay tactics might be continued in Moscow.

Putin can return home avoiding more sanctions. Trump is returning with nothing. Clear win for Russia and a bad day for the USA.

So, two weeks then?
🇺🇸 “I’ll announce the 10–12 day deadline today or tomorrow—no point waiting if you already know the answers. It’ll mean sanctions, maybe secondary tariffs. I don’t want to do this to Russia. I love the people, but they’ve lost a million—Russians and Ukrainians. It’s a disaster, and it’s still going,”
‼️ Trump: “I’m setting a new deadline for Russia—10 to 12 days from today.”

Clock is ticking.

Remarkable how quickly we can build shelter for 5000 people when it's motivated by cruelty.

Florida's attorney general says the migrant detention facility is on track to open in early July, at a little-used airfield in the Everglades. Environmental activists hope they can stop the project.

Local government can’t create jobs, but it can create a framework that encourages employers to move or grow new jobs. Eagan's professional staff and elected leaders remain laser-focused on this and the result is that employers, workers, and residents want to be in Eagan and that benefits everyone.
Big name companies are coming to Eagan. Is the suburb’s success a model for others?
Amazon and Solventum will soon open for business in Eagan, major wins for a city that faced bruising office closures after the pandemic.

Our Commerce Secretary doesn't understand that once the prices of imported goods go up, American manufacturers will raise their prices too.
Lutnick: "Foreign goods may become a little more expensive, but domestic goods do not. So if you're looking at Poland Springs water vs Fiji Water, the Poland Springs is not gonna be more expensive. For the first time in your lives you're gonna actually think about Americans who make the products."

When the secretary of state begins a negotiation by asking the aggressor in a war "what are your demands?" that's called surrender.
"The only way is to test them (Russia), to basically engage them and say, okay, are you serious about ending the war, and if so, what are your demands. Are your public demands and your private demands different?" U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

Putin's puppet in the White House has blamed the war in Ukraine on everyone except those who invaded Ukraine.
Trump slams Zelensky: "A modestly successful comedian talked the U.S. into spending $350B on a war that couldn't be won. He refuses elections, admits half the money is 'missing,' and played Biden like a fiddle. Only TRUMP can negotiate peace with Russia!"

The audacity, stunning.
