Ahh, I was wondering why people were talking about a $140,000 poverty line, and now I see where that came from. That guy has always sucked.

I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution.

Trump doesn’t understand the Constitution, and we're all less safe for it.

Opinion: Why I'm handing in my Pentagon press pass

Important.
Note that this was also true in 2013, and would have been true in 2023 if a deal to extend funding hadn't been reached in time. Here's the story I did back then: www.nytimes.com/2023/09/28/b...

30-yr mortgage rates remain at their lowest levels since late 2024. While still above 2022 lows, this marks meaningful relief from the 7s seen last fall.

Univ. of Michigan consumer sentiment slipped, but inflation expectations rose—bad news for mortgage rates. Earlier this week may have been the bottom for 2025, with retail earnings next week adding more headwinds.

Not sure why this is bad news? Although those 70-year-olds are sellers!
"There are now more homebuyers over age 70 than under 35," per FORTUNE.

Not great news, PPI jumped and so are bond yields… doesn’t look like mortgage rates will continue to drop. May even see a bounce back up.

Best post I’ve read regarding today’s CPI numbers
Good news. Inflation comes in as expected with more drag from shelter costs. Rents are cooling and hotel room rates continued to plummet in July.

The sticking point is the Core CPI, which was up 0.3% but rounded to a 3.1% gain from a year ago. Highest since Feb.
