A process you never wish for: a memorial for a true giant in blood flow and #rheology. Herb Meiselman DSc impacted #science, but perhaps scientists, even more. I simply wouldn't have jumped into academia without Herb's mentorship, and friendship. 🧪 #AcademicSky

OK @jopabinia.bsky.social, kicking off #Crustmas Down Under:

Spotted last weekend, Euastacus sulcatus forages the rainforest floor at >300 m in the Lamington NP. Super territorial, you'll often spot them on hiking trails, and the bigger ones like to hiss you down!

ARC says they’ll release the Discovery Projects 2025 outcomes tomorrow.

Recently, outcomes announcements have tended to happen at/around 11am Canberra time.

My bot will pick up the announcement in RMS’s database and post immediately.

Good luck!

My team has worked with Daniel over the last 5 yr to explore how we can achieve high flow rates without inducing blood trauma via #mechanicalcircultorysupport. Fingers crossed for the Australian-leg of EFS 🧪

Commitment. noun
1. State of being committed to the channel.
Hey folks! I got a tattoo of my beloved PIEZO ion channel on my arm! Now I can show how they activate (flatten) under pressure by flexing—Will add a bit of performance art to my science talks 🧪🧠.

To those prepping 2026 Discovery Projects EOIs while still waiting on 2025 outcomes:

I don't know when they'll be released. I'm sorry.

Remember, ARC *planned* this. Planned outcomes for 20–29Nov & 13Dec EOI deadline.

They knew ~500 teams would now be wasting time prepping EOIs.
