Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has revealed that he’s helping Francesca Gino, the honesty researcher who was fired from Harvard for research misconduct. “We will provide whatever resources she needs to clear her name,” he wrote.

Bill Ackman said on X that he’s been backing Francesca Gino, the embattled honesty researcher, in her lawsuit against Harvard since June 2024.

As I browse around, I keep an eye out for (what I think) are surprising facts.

This 2021 paper estimated that the USA, China and the UK spend USD 2.5 billion on peer review, based on the contribution made by researchers.

Men are using Grok to undress women and children on Twitter. When asked to stop, their response has largely been to tell women it’s their own fault for posting photos (à la “what was she wearing?”). Elno is aware and refuses to stop it because, well, he likes it. We need regulation of AI yesterday.

We recently published a paper in @plosbiology.org

We found a lot of problems in animal studies of hemorrhagic stroke.

Research integrity folks found the paper but the neuroscience community seems to have missed it completely.

I'd like them to read it too!

How long should it take to retract a paper with incontrovertible signs of data fabrication? Sleuths think 2 months is too long, particularly when clinical risks are involved. deevybee.blogspot.com/2026/01/an-o...

The main reason I am procrastinating my peer reviews is how hard it is to log in to the journal's system.
The journal sends me a link to access the manuscript, but more often than not, it returns an "Incorrect User ID or Password" error, even though my password manager saved the login.

As some may remember, 11 years ago MIT computer scientist Seneff predicted that glyphosate would make 50% of kids autistic by 2025.

My latest on absurd predictions as a key part of pseudoscience, including our current medical establishment.

Well Dr. Stephanie Seneff, 2025 is Over. Did Glyphosate Turn Half of All Children Autistic?
Failed predictions are a key feature of pseudoscience, and much of my writing has documented instances of credentialed academies making bold, confident declarations, only to act like they never happen
