We need to have fewer big nice houses for the sake of society. Just as having roads that are easy to drive on devalue urban environments, having homes that are too nice devalues third spaces and the social fabric.

What would a TV ad promoting alternatives to driving look like? What if people who love cycling and progressive transportation reclaimed ideas like freedom, independence and even patriotism? We decided to give it a shot. Check out our new video, "America, It's Just Like Riding a Bike."

We need to slap a tariff on American-style urban planning, develop trade relationships with planners in Europe and Asia.

I saw a dude from Mr Shred in the elevator wheeling a bin of papers down to his truck yesterday. I mentioned that, due to the snow, it was a particularly good day for shredding. He did not get it.

I have 2 small Sugared & Spiced Cookies & Cream Signature cakes in the cooler. They would have sold for $55 each in the shop last week, but they're getting old now (relatable). 4" diameter, ~5" tall, serves 1 to 5 (no judgment here).
$30 each today, or 2 for 1.
Claim by 5pm, pick-up by 6pm.

No joke, our day care lead educator advised @realdocbrown.bsky.social today that our girl had enough of an art portfolio to get into a "good kindergarten". Is this the bad timeline?

One time my toddler complained the pickle I gave her was too sour so I sprinkled some sugar on it. Now that she is older, she often demands a sugared pickle as comfort food. What have I done??

Cycle commuting is great because you are able to interact directly with your environment. For instance, this morning I had a lovely chat with an old friend on my commute after she nearly ran me over and rolled down her window to shout at me. Her mood brightened as soon as she recognized me!

We survived another holiday season with the rural and suburban extended families. My 74 year old father only lectured us for a few minutes about the virtues of the SUV. I'm not sure how I feel about this firsthand view of the effectiveness of vehicle marketing. Unsettling?
