A fascinating and revealing thread.
People from mining areas don't want the pits to reopen. Mining is hard, dangerous work.
What they want is the highly paid jobs that enable their communities to flourish.
Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Amazing how many British 'patriots' are spending their time telling our national broadcaster to prostrate itself before a hostile foreign leader

Recruitment: definitely came up short in attack, if not overall.

Board: quite happy for Farke to take the fall. If they sack him, they can be seen to take action.

Farke: not playing the best hand with the cards he's been dealt, especially away from home. #lufc

I mean, what kind of legal action would this be exactly? Defamation? I would truly love to see it. 'They made it look like I instigated a coup during my very well recorded coup attempt.'

I know this is a Green Party policy, but maybe just leave it as a footnote and not mention it. It ain’t happening, just concentrate on things that are achievable and that will actually increase your chance in the polls

Sky News just had Kelvin Mackenzie on, former editor of The Sun, one of the people at the centre of probably the most disgraceful front page in newspaper history, complaining about BBC journalists not being objective and 'fake news'. Astonishing. ~AA

Farke really needs to ditch the "emotional fanbase" line. Emotion is literally the essence of being a fan. Why else do we invest so much time, energy and cash into a collection of strangers exercising if not for the emotions generated? It's *the whole point*. So, Daniel, stop making us sad... #lufc

With these upcoming games Farke is basically a dead man walking.

Hey rid now and use the international break (as well as giving the manager four free hit games).

Time to go Farke. Thanks for the promotion, but if we don’t try something else now then we might as well start planning for promotion again #lufc

Ed Miliband saying (on Laura K) that we can't have a position where fans from a particular country can't come to the UK to support their team. So Labour is in favour of visas for Albanian football fans then? No, I thought not.
