The Department of Education protects the civil rights of students, prepares teachers, handles student loans and our Pell Grant programs - they do not govern curriculum or instructional materials at the state, that already belongs to the states.

Worth the watch! This is the compassion and experience we need so desperately!
I will not join my colleagues in advancing hateful legislation that targets LGBTQIA+ children. These kids aren’t hurting anyone and as an educator I will use all of my time, energy, agency and advocacy to ensure that every student feels included and protected in school.
