I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.

It's Republican policy to encourage the spread of measles in the United States. But don't worry, RFK Jr will use some incantations, eye of newt, toe of frog, etc., to cure the deadly disease magically.
Thanks RFK and Trump.
SCOOP: CDC officials on Monday linked for the first time the measles outbreak that began in Texas with another in Utah and Arizona, a finding that could end America’s status as a nation that has eliminated measles.

This.
CIA cannot be a global intel service. It would need 10x the people, language skills, country knowledge it has. It relies on liaison with 60+ foreign services, some in nations decidedly not allies. And liasion with NATO nations is crumbling -- openly. It's all about trust. And trust has been broken.

They willfully killed one of the best things we have ever done. A program that saved people’s lives around the world. And at home.

This is real. A government agency calling Americans performing their democratic right of protest “imbecilic morons.” This Trump regime is a poison and never should have gotten power. A total disgrace.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

America's network of democratic alliances was a jewel. Never before had a great power relied on cultivating voluntary relationships, leading to the richest, most powerful country in history, and benefitting the world relative to the alternative.

Then America decided to throw it away. And for what?

I think it’s important that impunity be the takeaway from these emails. Epstein, Trump and the rest act with indifference to morality and the law, because they do not believe they will ever face consequences. They are right to believe that. Decades of elite effort have assured them of it.

ICE tried to deport an Indigenous woman:

Leticia Jacobo, a 24-year-old member of Arizona's Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, was born in Phoenix.

She was pulled over for a traffic violation and her license was suspended and so that night ICE was preparing to deport her.

this dweeb doesn't even seem to be a US citizen. He's a student from the UK. hard to prove from the evidence online that he's not naturalized. (even then the below would be pretty rich). But he seems to be some posh brit here on a student visa.
