Anyone still quibbling that this isn't fascism?
The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

Banning states from passing or enforcing laws that protect workers from AI for the next DECADE is just plain reckless.

The labor movement is urging the Senate to remove this harmful, anti-worker provision from their budget bill.

Only issue is that NEPA reviews are used by opposition to delay housing and public transor development. Dramatic reforms are needed to allow NEPA to be relevant in our modern context and not inhibit progress on modern issues.
NEPA is not a check-the-box bureaucratic hurdle. It's the bedrock environmental law that protects communities and ecosystems and informs responsible federal decision-making. This sacrifices our health and environment. There are no shortcuts if you want a livable future.

Thanks to @jdjmke.bsky.social for compiling these results from the LTSB and WEC, we now have maps of the recent WI Supreme Court race by legislative districts.

Up first is the Assembly map, where Crawford won 54 seats, and was within 1 point of the Waukesha city based 82nd.

The Republican budget bill adds so much to the deficit that it triggers massive cuts to Medicare — on top of making the largest Medicaid and ACA cuts ever.

All of this just to put even more money in the pockets of billionaires.

It's not just bad policy — it's immoral.

I get Big Brother skeptical with more cameras, but damn this would be nice in some targeted locations.
I usually argue that ticket revenue clearly isn’t a money-grab from the police because it would be such a tiny % of their budget but holy moly $1.3m for a transit agency is a LOT
LA Metro’s camera-based bus lane enforcement program on two routes issued 5,500 tickets (total $1.6m in fines) in the first month, an increase from average of 570 tickets issued per month before camera-based enforcement.

tl;dr - she sent the man in question into the public hallway where agents there to arrest him watched him walk by and did nothing. 1/

Let’s be clear. Trump's arrest of Judge Dugan in Milwaukee has nothing to do with immigration.

This latest attack is about one thing: unchecked power.

It is time for my colleagues in the Republican Party to stand up to his growing authoritarianism.
