Graham Platner is running for US Senate as a progressive Democrat. He also had a Nazi tattoo for 18 years. Is he a Nazi? Is he a government plant? Or is he just a shady, lying little PR disaster who will only damage the Palestinian cause? skepchick.org/2025/11/grah...
Graham Platner is an Embarrassing Liar
Last month, I talked about “cointelpro,” the secret US government plan to infiltrate leftist groups in order to discredit and disrupt them. I specifically brought it up in reference to the Trump ad…

I know there’s a lot going on but we need to, as a society, acknowledge that Rhea Seehorn is fucking incredible in everything she’s done but especially Pluribus and I love it and I love her

I’m so sad to hear about the passing of Alice Wong. What a talent.

At the same time, the image below made me laugh really hard. It’s very “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. - Wayne Gretzky - Michael Scott.” Americans need to keep appropriating Canadians’ quotes

Can't wait to read it!
Drumrolls, please! I’m thrilled to share the cover for my forthcoming #book from @doubledaybooks.bsky.social
(Penguin Random House), #PROPHECY. This is the best book I’ve written: the boldest, the most innovative, the most personal. I have poured my soul into it like never before. 1/

Fascinating and incredibly sad read about French colonialism and forced sexual labor in 1930s Morocco.

“She explained how much Covid could hurt her & how vulnerable it felt to be unable to wear a mask to protect herself.

She was a perfect example of why other people need to wear masks even if they don’t personally think Covid will hurt them”

If you want to honour Alice Wong’s memory, please mask up
Thank You Alice Wong
Alice Wong has passed away and the disability community has lost a leader. I lost a mentor and a friend. The Disabled Ginger wouldn't exist without Alice and everything she taught me.

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

Alice was a mentor, a friend and one of the people who I credit with helping me find my voice.

She gave me the strength to embrace my disabilities and use my skills as a writer to help others.

My life is forever changed because of her.

I will have more to say once I’ve processed 💔

Alice Wong was a fierce advocate for disabled rights. One of the first disabled people I ever saw go on national TV just to talk about how our existences are politicized.

May she rest in peace.

Living with Long COVID often feels like living in a horror movie. Along with your disease comes a creepy Hive Mind refusal to acknowledge the dangers of COVID infection. In Vince Gilligan's new Apple TV show Pluribus, the Hive Mind comes to life:

"Pluribus" captures the isolation of COVID-awareness in a COVID denialist world
For years I've described having Long COVID as living in a horror movie. Now that horror movie (well, prestige Apple TV show) is here.

We have no transparency on COVID in the UK. Not on airborne risk, not on post infection risks, lack of testing, pretending asymptomatic is no longer a thing.

We all share the air. If we would care about the quality of the air we share, everyone benefits.

One great way to do that is masking up in public spaces.

You’ll be sick less. You’ll be making spaces more accessible. You’re showing solidarity with disabled people.
People continue to call COVID advocates’ pleas for masking “unreasonable”.

Yet people who’ve already been disabled by COVID have no choice but to live with the “unreasonable” burdens of constant COVID safety.

Beyond all reason
Long COVID patients are constantly harangued about our requests for COVID safety. Yet what we're asking for is far less than what we're called on to do to survive.
