A Message to the Police (British) State News of a Crown Prosecution Service Appeal against the ruling of their own judge is unsurprising. He ruled the charge was ‘unlawful and null’ and it was. It is unsurprising because this whole process has not been driven by the police or the courts, it has been driven by politicans backed up by British media. This is political policing. There is no ‘important point of law’. The CPS have submitted nothing new in their appeal. What there is though, is a state wide witch-hunt against Palestinian solidarity. The media were gleefully informed about this appeal before we were. 😠 A Message to the Police (British) State Once again this is a massive waste of taxpayers money, of police time, of court time. Once again there are endless news reports about Mo Chara, about Kneecap but we are NOT the story. Yesterday 104 Palestinians were murdered in Gaza and hundreds more maimed as Israel commits genocide. Entire families wiped out, people bombed to pieces as they slept, young kids with limbs blown off and no medicai­ne to treat them. This is aided and supported by the British State. We will fight you in your court again. We will win again. FREE PALESTINE / TIOCHFAIDH ÁR LÁ 😠

IMHO, who he was is a secondary concern. Political assassinations are destructive regardless of who dies.

This is the primary concern.

Thank you for addressing what I see as the secondary concern. He was a terrible human being whom I will not mourn.

Tomorrow Mo Chara is back in Westminster Magistrates Court as the British government's carnival of distraction continues. Since his last court appearance Israel has murdered another 9,000 Palestinians, mainly children and women. Over 1,000 murdered whilst queuing for aid, starved due to their siege, whilst pitiful amounts of aid delivered by a sham agency controlled by Israel. Young children gunned down by snipers as they scramble for a bag of flour. Whole families, from babies to grandparents, murdered as they huddled in makeshift tents. The IOF have since moved through Gaza turning what's left of homes, schools and hospitals to literal dust. Evil beyond any fucking words. As the British state arms and supports these war crimes they'll have Mo Chara in court in London tomorrow to try to label him a terrorist..... Come down and show your support/solidarity outside the court. If you're in Ireland make your way to Connolly Books in Temple Bar. British courts have long charged people from the North of Ireland with "terrorism" for crimes never committed. We will fight them. We will win. Free Palestine. Free the Six Counties. Tiocfaidh ár lá. One element of the political policing intimidation attempt is over. We played a historic set at Glastonbury. Whole area closed an hour before due to crowds. A celebration of love and solidarity. A sea of good people at the world's most famous festival. Shortly afterwards we learn of an active police investigation. An investigation that followed after the Prime Minister himself said it "was not appropriate" we played Glastonbury. Walk off stage to the rapturous sounds of good people and into the creaking scheming sounds of the establishment. This "investigation" was reported across the world's media often with wildly misleading headlines. Every single person who saw our set knew no law was broken, not even close....yet the police saw fit to publicly announce they were opening an investigation. Why open and publicise an investigation into fuck all? This is political. This is targetted. This is state intimidation. After the media damage is inflicted and seen by millions of eyes - you receive a private email to say there's no evidence and no action - that is seen by two people only. There is no public apology, they don't send this to media or post it on police accounts. We will continue to fight. We will continue to win. Email from Avon and Somerset Police to Kneecap legal team: "I am Senior Investigating Officer for Avon and Somerset Police's investigation into Kneecap's performance at the Glastonbury Festival on 28th June 2025. Following a review of the evidence, I have determined there will be no further action. I would be grateful if you could communicate this to your clients, and/or advise me of an alternative way if contacting them. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
