TRANS RIGHTS ARE A WINNING POLITICAL ISSUE
Every single centrist claiming we must all compromise our bodily autonomy for their personal comfort is a traitor to American democracy & rational human decency.
They have no place in a modern Democratic Party, toss them out. Total liberation for all.

Another call for sources: I'm reporting on pediatric Covid vaccine access. If you've had trouble finding pediatric doses in stock, or if your child was turned away, I'd love to hear from you: maggie.astor@nytimes.com.

Here to say that since the ICE crackdown, we've seen fewer immigrants in the hospital and have had them leave, even critically ill ones who would die without treatment, due to the fear of being detained and deported.
Furthermore, the current law of the land - the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act - says that ERs cannot turn anyone away based on their ability to pay (or legal status), and nothing that is currently being debated in Congress relating to coverage/benefits would change that federal law
