My written remembrance
for Francis below. His conscience shaped in pastoral work of early priesthood &deepened among ordinary Argentinians during the dictatorship yrs. He brought humility to power &never stopped listening. The World needs his spirit now.

“I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little or make a poem which children will speak for you when you're dead.”

RIP Tom Stoppard—you left many right words in the right order that will live on.

A friend once came upon Tom Stoppard giving a book signing that was so last-minute, it was completely unattended. My friend gushed praise. Stoppard replied, "I'm bored. Let's go shopping," and led my friend around the store, giving him book recommendations. What a treat that must've been. #RIP

Remembering the many kindnesses, humor and warmth Tom Stoppard offered my family and especially my Mom. And of course, his unique brilliance and courage as a playwright and screenwriter. A great loss.

William Blake is a fascinating artist & poet. His vision is unique & clearly derived from his own subconscious. He allowed his pen to form the ideas before marshalling them into compositions. Rarely is a great poet, a great painter. Michelangelo was another!
