I will never stop fighting for a world that respects and honors the humanity and value of all people.

I am prepared for the lies.
I will not obey in advance.
I will bravely speak the truth.
I will do what I can, wherever I can.
I am not alone.

It seems in this current dystopian world we find ourselves in it has become disturbingly common for people to say the most outrageous things publicly that would never be tolerated in private settings.

‘DEI hire’ is a weaponized term to prevent equitable opportunity and access for all.
“DEI hire” is an offensive term. And if anyone at my company (or I think most companies) used it they’d be out.

Be safe! Such a beautiful area of LA, now devastated 💔
We are having tornado like winds here in LA and it’s making the nearby forest fire even worse. Good times! But I still love living here.

Not all wrapping paper is recyclable, we switched to cloth bags this year to show love to Mother 🌍. Bonus: more time for parents to enjoy other jingle jangle 🎶 festivities 🥂🍪🎄🍰😴💤

Do whatever you can, wherever you are and join up with others — it matters and absolutely makes a difference.

For those who need to rest, we got you. There are others who can carry the work forward until you feel ready to continue. We are stronger together.
I do not have any coping mechanisms for the next four years. I am all tapped out.

I would say I’m surprised but I’m not.
No women will lead a House committee for the first time in two decades after House Republicans revealed their list of committee leaders for the 119th Congress. No people of color were selected, either.

The 17 standing committees will be dominated by white men when the new Congress is seated on Jan. 3. No people of color were selected, either.

We’re closing our offices for the last two weeks of the year. Sadly rest has become a radical act.
My European friends: vacation responder on until January! See ya!

My American friends: I think I’m going to take just a half day on Christmas this year so I can meet these deadlines.

We are not a nation that knows how to rest, y’all

What this decade will be
known for
There is no doubt it is
loneliness

“[T]he academy argued that prioritizing diversity in the military makes it stronger, more effective and more widely respected.”

Why is this then not good enough for our society?

Make it make sense. It’s exhausting.
A judge who served in the military for over 20 years upholds use of race in Naval Academy admissions, citing national security
Judge Richard Bennett wrote that the school had “established a compelling national security interest in a diverse officer corps.”

Perhaps you were listening to Kendrick's album and weren't aware that the term Eskimo is considered offensive by the Inuit people. I couldn't agree more, let's honor the way people choose to refer to themselves.
I cannot speak for the Inuit, but it is offensive to many Inuit as it is a colonial term imposed by settlers. The bottom line is, Inuit do not want people to use it to refer to them, and that alone should be respected.

Spending Thanksgiving in Houston, and awaiting my mom’s arrival from Chicago. We plan to enjoy delicious food, explore the city’s festive events, and create some wonderful memories together. A small-ish family affair this year matched perfectly with my emotional capacity for the season 👐🏽 ❤️

Protect your peace this Thanksgiving with some friendly advice..

There’s no need to be baited into an argument if someone says something you disagree with.

Let them carry on. You can choose to ignore or remove yourself from the conversation.

Or, if you feel the need to speak up… 🧵 1/3
