With the tragic assassination of a Minnesota Democratic leader, I’m going to underline this point again.
I know there's a lot going on, but the Secretary of Homeland Security declaring that federal troops are in California and Los Angeles to "liberate" the state and city from its duly-elected leaders really is a fourteen-alarm fire.
It's mind-blowing how little attention this extraordinary statement has received. It's briefly mentioned in a couple news articles, but this MSNBC opinion piece is the only extended discussion of it I've seen: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

Any person in uniform wearing a mask and refusing to be properly and reliably identified should be assumed to be the same kind of murderer we’ve seen in Minnesota.
Shooters were dressed like law enforcement and this is exactly why I’m pissed about ice officers wearing masks, driving unmarked cars and not being identifiable when they terrorize communities

Do no harm should apply to everyone.

I have long said that if we (humans, in general) ever figured out fusion power that we would be taking a huge step toward solving the biggest of our problems: energy (obviously), war, hunger, and many more.
I have watched this very excitedly over the last decade and am getting goosebumps lately.

This woman’s story is heartbreaking and I feel and despise her loss.
However, we are capable of focusing on more than one thing. We can care about the brutal murder of a young woman AND ALSO care that a person was arrested and sent to a concentration camp w/o due process.
