A federal jury this week found a private company that runs detention centers liable for the 2015 death of an inmate in Louisiana and awarded the man’s family $42.75 million in damages.

Update: 1,040 rounds of nonlethal ammunition were fired by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) at anti-ICE protesters in DTLA on June 8th. 669 were 40 mm rubber bullets. They were pulling rounds from boxes as shown below. The dept documented causing only six injuries from the muntions.
