Not easy to get to sleep tonight - have burnt the bridge of whatever career I had left and really don’t feel that my opinions are so extreme that that should have been necessary
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Private equity firms preying on vets practices.

6 firms control 60% of UK practices. Same firms control pet food, insurance.

Wages down, fees up. Pet owners skipping meals to cover costs, hand pets to rescue organisations or euthanising them.

Change law. Only qualified vets to own vet practices.

I agree with this comment. It's appalling that Robin Ince has felt he had no option than to resign from a radio show he has been a main part of for years. The BBC has totally lost its way. Due to the appointments by Johnson of directors with very far right views. I won't be listening to TIMC again.
I am so sorry to read this, how are we in a position that a freelance presenter expressing views promoting tolerance, empathy and understanding for many marginalised persons be 'problematic'. If anything, this demonstrates its needed more than ever.

I came across this newspaper item purely by accident. But it seems like a monstrous injustice is being done. All as a consequence of the insanity of Brexit, coupled with this government's unforeseen efforts to look tough on... something! 🤔

In international terms - surely it is now obvious that the US is a Putin-inspired enemy of Europe?

In domestic terms - is Keir Starmer going to just smile and nod and accept vitriolic personal attacks on his "horrible, disgusting, vicious" friend, Mayor Khan?

It’s such an ugly look to hit out at the marginalised and the vulnerable. We would never normally expect a Labour government to do this, as historically this has been the modus operandi of the far right.

The best way to demolish reform is to remind everyone what the Farage has bought us: Brexit busting Britain, lies, corruption, greed, and meanness. Is this a country you want to have like this?

I absolutely do care about whether Farage is racist or not.

And, given the deranged but distinct possibility that he may become PM, we all should.
