After repeated and relentless cuts over the last decade, Nottingham has now lost its final single-honours TRS course. Many other courses too.

This is one of the very first things I point out in any “interfaith” work I do.
We regularly use the word "faith" as a synonym for "religion" in everyday language, without thinking about how this language reifies a Christian norm of what "religion" actually constitutes.

This question is one that intrigued me for a while and I finally got to research and publish a little project on it here (open access): onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

Bottom line was, hearing and reading Biblical Hebrew aloud was very useful for students; other methods had mixed results
