I launched the Raising Citizens podcast. Why?
1. Social Studies is being deprioritized in schools.
2. This world is increasingly a DIY adventure + our kids need more tools. (We do, too.)
3. Every time I’ve tried “boring” or ambitious things with kids, it’s gone waaayyy better than I expected.

The discourse on education is so overdetermined and tedious in general, but also poisoned by everyone thinking they have valid views of proper teaching because they have the experience of having been taught.
