it’s honestly incredible that republicans in Congress, the Supreme Court, elite universities, and top law firms have all bought into this conception of Trump invincibility when he’s on the precipice of completely blowing up the economy and neutering his entire presidency

At least this Republican Congressman from Kentucky is being honest. That for him representative democracy is dead. He doesn’t seem to care about wrecking the livelihoods of Kentuckians. His job is to do for his dictator in Washington, DC. His only constituent.

Sen. Booker’s speech was a substantive and moral account of this moment. He did not read the phone book. He did not babble.
For 24 hours @booker.senate.gov laid out a detailed, damning, and critical narrative of truth, history, politics, morality, humanity.

What will you do?

That they weren’t aware of this — or they were and just didn’t care — before shipping people to an offshore gulag is just pure, concentrated evil. People need to go to prison for this.

Harris had moderate stances on every major issue and Trump's are insane, what are we even doing here
Of the three presidential campaigns against Trump, two (2016 and 2024) made elaborate appeals to centrists at the expense of their relationship with progressives, and only one (2020) prioritized efforts to bridge the gap with progressives, however impermanently. The latter approach won.

I've been a Christian for most of my 55 years on this planet, and in all that time, I've never once had a bunch of atheists show up at my church protesting me or telling me I'm immoral or arguing that I shouldn't be allowed to marry who I love.

Maybe that's telling...

I think it’s fascinating how this administration’s guiding principle on every single policy is just “be evil.”

Starving children? Take away their food. AIDS patients? Take away their treatments. Refugees from conflict zones? Deport them. Nations under attack? Cut off assistance. VA? Fire everyone.
