Mother’s Day brings complicated emotions. On the one hand, I know my mother loved me. But on the other, her mental illness prevented her from ever being what I needed.

Spent the weekend at @latimesfob with my kids & my kids’ book #YIMBY. Had a lovely weekend, although I’m still sad that there were a few naysayers who felt the need to speak up when they saw my kids’ book is about ending homelessness.

There may only be “concepts of a plan” but these are Trump’s actions on healthcare so far: (1/5)

- Withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization (WHO)

- eliminating special enrollment period for uninsured Americans seeking coverage through the federal Marketplace

Some have been so numbed to the creep of power that they keep asking what if this turns violent. Friends, it is violent.
ICE went to the home of a 61-year-old man with poor health and after his family informed ICE agents that they needed a warrant signed by a judge, dozens of ICE agents instead showed up in an armored vehicle with a battering ram and flash grenades and took him by force.
A family member is speaking out against an ICE operation in northwest Phoenix on Sunday, calling it an unnecessary use of force www.azcentral.com/story/news/p...

Enough. The Democrats must shut down the Senate and use their power. Stop voting for these idiots. Stop all unanimous consent. Demand answers. Filibuster. Where is the fucking outrage?

“First they came for the scientists.”

I don’t think there’s much we can say or do because what we needed to say or do happened in Nov on Election Day. But I’m terrified for our nation’s health. This sucks.

I am so so grateful for all the support for emergency housing for evacuated folks in Los Angeles and I 100% need that same energy to help unhoused folks find permanent supportive housing. We can do both things.
