It’s also a lie that there were zero border crossings; what he’s garbled here is that Border Patrol released zero people directly at the border, which is not the same as saying zero people were released because some people were transferred to ICE and then released.

Yesterday, together with other organizations, we protested Signature Air. @signatureaviation.bsky.social, you are providing ICE with fuel to assist deportation. CE uses private charter planes to transport prisoners, Signature Aviation provides ground support to those planes across the country.

Ferguson’s comments here don’t track. (Speaking for myself, etc.) The Maryland Values Act would ban localities from entering into 287(g) agreements with ICE, where the localities *voluntarily* say their police will act as ICE agents.
