Picked up this straying cat in Drumcondra: she/he has been hanging around the local newsagent for 48 hours. The local Facebook groups are trying to find the owner. Red collar but no name or number. Anyway, she's been fed, watered & has a warm bed. My Puca cat is outraged at this intruder.

The number of patients who have been assessed and need to be admitted to #UHL who are on trolleys today. This is a complete failure of our health service. It is distressing and dangerous. We don't have any other A&E in the Midwest. This isn't acceptable. #HSE @simonharristd.bsky.social

(2) they then asked, in my temp. absence, her 90 year old sister, who had memory loss & hadn't a clue what she was signing, to sign that my dying mother would be charged XXXX for a private room to die in. My mother paid for ages into a private plan so she could die with dignity. Will *never* forget.

12,722 children are now overdue an assessment of need. Some of us 'completed' the assessment a year ago and still await a service statement. We have nothing. The ICC will now face the toughest test in its history. It may not survive the Netanyahu arrest warrant. But it had no other option - failing to issue the warrants would have damaged its credibility beyond repair.
Seems likely that US will threaten European and other countries that will seek to act according to the ICC arrest warrants, under Trump and maybe also under Biden.

And my insurer pays only 20 - 50% of the bills by the way. Yes, lucky to have even that paid for the fast appointments etc but with 30 years in the 'free at point of delivery' NHS in London, nothing that remarkable at all.

Just a tip for putting Christmas lights around your windows… suction cups will never stick the pvc for very long, so open your window a bit, tuck the suction cup into the corner, then close the window on it. It won’t budge til January!
