I’m sorry, what reality-eating brainworm is this, Ezra Klein?

This is a good illustration of how far right views are being mainstreamed in the UK. Johnson says Charlie Kirk didn’t have extremist views. This is the same Charlie Kirk who said black people were better off under slavery and pushed the far right ‘Great Replacement’ conspiracy theory.

Keir Starmer is in freefall. 14 months into his Premiership he is a disastrous leader with no vision, no ability to lead & inspire a team, and no story to tell. He cannot lead Labour into the next election. And if he does not go soon he should be challenged. Labour & the UK cannot go on like this.

net immigration fell by more than half last year and the politics has gone in the complete opposite direction. It's not really about the numbers

This is precisely what this decision will do. It will absolutely render women and children radically unsafe, and closes YET ANOTHER safe and legal route. All so that a far-right mob are appeased and a far right discourse is fully entertained, in all sense of that word.

The reasons for Kate’s announcement are valid but also sad, we have so far to go in making politics accessible for people who have families. We’re losing too many women to the pressures imposed on family life in politics.

Good luck to Kate and her family.

❗️Today's 8.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred near 🇷🇺Kamchatka was felt by local residents like this

Last night's M8.8 quake in the Pacific was easily detected in #Edinburgh . The gravity meter rattled against its end stops and then got stuck; I will try to unstick it later today. ( #geophysics #seismology ) (1/3)

Another day, another slaughter of desperate Palestinians looking for food, as Western leaders fall over themselves to express renewed support for Israel.
🔴 BREAKING: At least 11 people have been killed and over 100 wounded after Israeli forces once again opened fire and shelled civilians waiting for aid on Salah al-Din Street, near the Netzarim checkpoint and the GHF site in central Gaza.

As polling day draws near in the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election, I wanted to share some thoughts.

My family and I have been heartened by the fantastic effort of SNP members to win this by-election following the death of mum.

Farage has no solutions for working people.

He would cut Scotland’s budget, while the SNP is putting your priorities first:

✅ Scrapping peak rail fares
✅ Delivering more NHS appointments
✅ Restoring winter fuel payments

What nonsense. My mum served Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse for 14 years without living in the constituency.

The countless cards and letters from constituents of mum demonstrated how loved she was by many people across the constituency, she felt adopted by Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse.
I said on telly last week I didn't think Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse would be bitter. I may have been wrong.

I don't understand why the local Labour campaign is behaving like this? It's deeply unpleasant and it's also just bizarrely hypocritcal and ignores common practice across parties.

One of the biggest earthquake hazards of Europe is in the sea of Marmara, the sea south of the major city of Istanbul. We've been expecting earthquakes there since the 1999 Izmit quake. Today's 6.2 Earthquake occurred on the edge of the fault zone making that sea. So far, no major damage reported.

Good article. Much more considerate and understanding, focusing on the real issues compared to Joani Reid’s horrendous dehumanising article. Well done Monica Lennon.

A warning to the UK government not to demonise disabled people.

And worthy praise for courageous ovarian cancer campaigners lobbying Parliament.

NEW: Multiple reports of Russian missiles pouring into Ukraine tonight, targeting civilians.

The US has shut off the intelligence Ukraine needs to protect itself.

This hotel in the southern city of Kryvyi Rih took a direct hit.

Trump has the blood on his hands of every Ukrainian casualty tonight.

NEW: US cuts off intelligence to Ukraine.

After halting military aid (including equipment already at the border), this move is just vindictive.

Trump is effectively arming Russia. Without better intelligence to target missile launch sites, more Ukrainians will die.

The US is in moral collapse.

Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity must be defended.

If President Trump won’t stand with us on this, a U.K. state visit shouldn’t be on the table.
