So the ref correctly stopped play for the head injuries even though the Thorns had 3v3 going at goal, and then restarts with a drop ball in which he allows San Diego to keep possession.

I had some questions. #BAONPDX

I have no following here but throwing this into the void. Does anyone have footage of the arrests at the Portland ICE facility today? Specifically the ones that occurred between 3&4? If so please DM me & I’m happy to share my Signal info. Any footage would be much appreciated. #Portland #ICE

Ewww. Anyone tone policing protests & not encouraging diversity in resistance tactics right now is aiding this country’s ever more rapid decline.

Resistance takes many forms & rightfully looks different for all. Everyone should be assessing what feels right for them, end of story.
have you seen the rules yet tho?

Jeff Agoos, the Bathals, and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad trade.

Sick over this announcement. Hina is such a talented player, a joy to watch, & part of the core of the Thorns. If you had told me this was coming I’d have told you that you had been dropped on your head.

#NWSL NEWS: The Portland Thorns have traded midfielder + Japan international Hina Sugita to Angel City in exchange for defender MA Vignola plus $600K in the 2nd biggest intra-league deal to date.

The transfer window closed but intra-league trades can still happen through the Oct. 9 roster freeze.
Sources: Thorns trade Japan's Sugita to Angel City

So for a team that struggles with creativity in attack & possession to get rid of our best dribbler & posesor of the ball is something…

This really feels like Agoos throwing in the towel on this season. #baonpdx

Trading Sugita is such a bad decision for the Thorns.

I am quickly losing all faith in this team's management.

I encourage all the media outlets who are about to send people to ”war ravaged” Portland to think twice. Some of the strongest extremism reporters in the country live in this region; journalists who understand the culture of the Northwest and the history of activism here. Do it right this time okay?

I yearn for the NWSL to announce a streaming package like the MLS/AppleTV deal. I understand the argument for growing the game and having a significant amount of games free (if you can find the right platform in time to watch the game) but $99/year to stream every game on 1 platform is a steal.

Here’s the thing, sure political violence is bad, people can pearl clutch & tone police all they want right now, but it’s hard to take any politician condemning political violence seriously when our entire nation & government is built on the back of political violence. So miss me with that rhetoric.

Also also: for the respectability politics people inclined to shush me because then the right will say the left is violent, where have you been? They have always said that—about peaceful protest, heckling in fancy restaurants etc. and they have never cared whether it’s true

It’s gonna be so weird watching establishment dems be performatively sadder about this than they were about the colleague and her husband and dog who got shot and killed

I don’t know how to feel.
Part of me is relieved an evil person is gone.
The rest of me is sad we are here and we shouldn’t be. We shouldn’t be in this version of America where there are so many bad people and the last solution we have is to kill them.

I have a lot to say about political violence and it’s strange to me that the people denouncing the murder of one individual can’t muster the sentiment to say it’s wrong to commit genocide.

The greatest violence in this world happens in policy rooms. Why is one life valuable and another not?
