God I wish we can normalize relations with Iran & they have a better government of what the people desire & deserve.

If anything for selfish motives. The country is on my top three places I want to visit list (Isfahan, Persepolis, Yazd, etc…)

Setting aside the long term viability of that strategy, at what point do you start to sound insane when people are watching armed government gangsters running wild every day and the local candidate is smiling into the camera and talking about groceries
Recent statements from political strategists and Democratic Party insiders seem to suggest that the party’s strategy for the 2026 midterm races — particularly in hotly contested swing districts — will be to focus on economic concerns rather than on holding President Donald Trump accountable.
Polls Undercut Dem Strategy to Avoid Discussing Trump Impeachment in Midterms
Democratic strategists are telling swing district candidates to focus on the economy and to avoid discussing Trump.

During one of the Butte (MT) miner strikes in the 1950’s, the Anaconda company was sending in scabs & Pinkertons to intimidate union officials like my grandfather. US Senator Mansfield literally dropped everything in DC & took the train to Butte to confront them personally.

We need that energy now.
Jeffries: "The killing of Renee Nicole Good was an abomination, a disgrace, and blood is clearly on the hands of those individuals within the admin who have been pushing an extreme policy that has nothing to do with immigration enforcement connected to removing violent felons from this country"

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

Begging Democrats - This isn’t the time to play the “this is to distract you from kitchen table issues” card.

People are being kidnapped & shot by federal agents indiscriminately. The executive is unhinged.

If you can’t meet this moment & understand the stakes, what’s the point in voting for you?

Been barking at the moon angry today with everything & the wall.

All I can say is find the small joys with everything going on.

For me, it was getting a bunch of Stephane Grappelly & Django Reinhardt 78’s which are in absolute prefect condition given they are 90 years old.

Again, when this is all said & done.

No forgiveness without atonement.

No moving on for the sake of national unity & political expedience.

Biden tried that & it failed.

We can’t start fixing our country without staring coldly what many have done & making them responsible for their actions.

Good thing we have a - checks notes - a 40-year-old Diego Chara as the only defensive midfielder of any quality on the roster.

*lights cigarette, stares off in disgust into the rainy inky haze.*
🇦🇷 Sources: Inter Miami nearing a deal to acquire midfielder David Ayala from Portland Timbers.

I'm told is a $2m cash trade. Ayala stays as U-22 initiative. Not done but close.

Ayala out of contract at end of season. Timbers tried to engage new contract, but wasn't likely due to personal reasons.

one of the things i hate most about this persistent line of argument is the implication that any of these actions would be fine if groceries were cheaper
The White House is laser focused on threatening a military takeover of Greenland.

Where’s the same focus on lowering costs?

"I doubt NATO would be there for us if we really needed them".

A reminder that the one and only time NATO invoked its self-defense clause was after 9/11, and our NATO partners have suffered over 3,400 deaths (not casualties, deaths) in Afghanistan.

Don't let this Jan 6th point get lost:

Jack Smith testified to Congress he had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election."

In other words, he could prove in court that Trump attempted a coup.

Was force to get Starbucks in a long time since I’m stuck in an airport terminal.

My god the coffee bad. Like they roasted & burned the beans in Hades’ arsehole.

So exactly as I remembered…

30 years ago Eric Cantona kicked a nazi and was banned from football for the remainder of the season, possibly dashing United's hope for the title.

In 2021, he said about the incident:
'I have one regret. I would have loved to have kicked him even harder.'

Legend.

The destruction doesn't make for a photo-op like tearing down the East Wing of the White House or bulldozing the Rose Garden, but it's every bit as bad. Generations of American children learned to spell and count, learned the Preamble to the Constitution, from watching shows produced by the CPB.
