Scott Wiener doesn't care about your "neighborhood character." He just thinks we need a lot more housing.

Now, he's running for Nancy Pelosi's seat.
Scott Wiener defeated California’s NIMBYs. Can he fix America’s housing crisis?
By running for Nancy Pelosi's House seat, he's putting the abundance theory to the test.

For the first time in history, since the Bay Conservation & Development Commission (BCDC) was formed in 1965, they voted to reduce public access & close 4 miles of Bay Trail along the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge four days/week for 3 years.

@bart.gov when are you gonna fix this dumb UI that has 4 pages for the info that would easily fit on 2. Nobody needs to know how long the train in 30 minutes is, just the next train.

it’s pretty funny how the list of opposition to SB79 (an amazing bill to legalize dense housing near transit) is half groups like “united communists for community justice” and the other half is “suburban millionaires’ homeowner association”

Congrats to anyone living in this specific North Oakland precinct that voted for Kamala Harris, Jill Stein, and Claudia De La Cruz above Trump for president.

Is there anywhere else with such stark intra-city segregation than Orange County? Newport Beach: 75% White; Santa Ana: 75% Hispanic/Latino; Irvine: 45% Asian, 35% White, 11% Hispanic/Latino

With @adenaishii.bsky.social's victory as mayor, Measure FF's victory for funding safe streets, a clear majority of City Council in favor of safe streets, and the results of this poll, #Berkeley just sent very strong and clear signals that we want more bike infrastructure throughout the city. 🚲❤️🚲

Democrats need to embrace making it easier & faster to produce the things people need — e.g., housing, clean energy, child care, transit — & move away from government-created scarcity.

An abundance approach lowers cost of living.

Democrats need to lean into being the Party of abundance.

If you're going to have a celebratory event with pro-housing types, try to time it so the pro-housing candidate in a local race pulls ahead in an otherwise depressing election cycle. Vibes were immaculate at the @eastbayforeveryone.bsky.social gala last night. 10/10 would recommend

With 84.6% of 2020's turnout now counted, Adena Ishii has taken the lead for Berkeley mayor! With the late count trend, we can now comfortably say she will win the election.

Adena has championed safe streets and housing in her campaign. Her victory will make a huge difference in Berkeley's future.

Who all should I include in a “SF Bay Area Transit, Walk, & Roll” starter pack? I think I’ve already identified most of the people/orgs I already follow, but I’m sure there are plenty more.
