It's shameful that we were even considering renewing him.

The people at the top of the club were not blind to this situation, and still considered it in the interests of sporting expedience.

Lessons should be learned.

This, basically
Keep thinking that the euphoria around the emergence of 'Mikel Merino, goal machine' clouded quite how bad that first 80 minutes or so was at Leicester.

I don't think today will be easy - and think that goes for most of our games until we get some semblance of our front-line back.

My head is absolutely gone. This season has been draining enough without these incompetent, attention seeking frauds dictacting more results for us.

Every week I'm watching leg breaking challenges, elbows and studs on shins go unpunished - yet that's a red card. Fuck off.

Remember, Wolves got away with this earlier in the season against us.

GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE

Michael Oliver is corrupt as fuck. That's never a red card.

Missed that Kamara was on a yellow. Heads gone.
Wait.

Kamara, on a yellow card, just kicked the ball away from Arsenal players to stop them getting it to the appropriate spot on the pitch to restart play.

He wasn't shown a second card.

Honestly love the team so much (obvs not 5).

The levels they are still playing to, every 3 days, missing key players, isn’t normal.

Running out of steam and players, the luck isn’t with us this year.

We can obviously do something about the players issue this month, let’s see.

Really encouraging news. Our attack is getting all the focus, but we need a big midfield rebuild as well with Jorginho and (hopefully) Partey leaving.

Zubimendi is probably the best "six" on the market and £51m is decent value. Interested to see what it means for Rice long term.

I find the rush to declare Arteta a "fraud" and write Arsenal off a bit ridiculous

He restored them from a basketcase to a serious outfit

An issue now is final moves to make up the gap, and there have been errors, that I go into below, but they're close

Breaking down Arsenal’s goalscoring struggles – and Mikel Arteta’s solution

Absolutely abhorrent
These are the messages Havertz's wife received tonight.

There has to be consequences for sending horrible, vile messages like this. But there isn't unfortunately.

You keep thinking that online football fandom has hit a low it can’t possibly dig deeper than. And then you see some of the most diabolical messages sent to the partners of those who happen to have had a bad game.

There is a serious point to be made that when social media platforms wash their hands of any kind of standards or moderation of users, this stuff will only get worse.

It's beyond the pale in any circumstances, but the fact it's basically consequence-free can't be right.

100% this.

You beat United and Spurs any season and a lot can be forgiven and forgotten.
Win the next two and it’s all forgotten

Weird game

Overall not good enough but also created at enough chances to score 1-2

Tie is over

Isak is an absolute baller

Thanks very much

Musk turning on Farage is both funny and predictable.

Not sure what Musk is trying to achieve, Reform are only successful with Farage as leader.

Pay it tbh
Per The Telegraph, Newcastle United will resist any attempt to lure Alexander Isak away with a record price tag in excess of £150 million put on the Swede.

Great cause. Awful kit. Awful record in the kit.
As is becoming tradition, Arsenal will wear their 'No More Red' all-white kit in the FA Cup 3rd round against Manchester United.
