With all the pull the Premier League has, you’d think they’d negotiate with somebody (not sure how it would work in practice, mechanics-wise) an agreement or law where you show your hotel and train company your match ticket and they allow a reservation change without any additional fees.
Arsenal and Crystal Palace’s Premier League matches initially scheduled for December 21 have been brought forward by one day.

The move comes after both sides, who play each other in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on December 23, requested that their fixtures be moved due to scheduling issues.

The new mayor of New York City is an Arsenal supporter.

We're fucking massive.

Luiz Dias will miss the Arsenal-Bayern match after picking up a straight red against PSG.

You don't want to tempt fate too much, but if you're Arsenal and Declan Rice, if the opportunity presents itself to pick up a booking (maybe against Inter Milan to miss home to Kairat Almaty), I think you take it.

You'd like to clear the risk of suspension before the knockout rounds.

Just in case you haven't looked at the calendar recently:

It's November.
Arsenal have now gone 776 minutes without conceding in any competition. The last player to score against them was Newcastle's Nick Woltemade in September.

Fulltime. 3-0 to Arsenal. That's how you handle your business.

Four played, four wins, and four clean sheets.

Mikel Merino brace. Max Dowman becomes the youngest player in Champions League history.

Then you remember this isn't the Premier League and it makes sense!
I can't believe the ref has been to the screen twice over two penalties and neither was to take a penalty away from Arsenal.
November 4, 2025 at 7:39 PM
No penalty. VAR gets it right.
November 4, 2025 at 7:34 PM
I really do not see how you can give that as a penalty.

Both players have their legs up high. Both touch the ball. Then the Slavia player goes to ground. Not sure Ben White even touched him.
November 4, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Oh dear, that's not a penalty at all.

What a week for Andre Harriman-Annous. Gets his Arsenal first team debut in the Carabao Cup and then a Champions League appearance a few days later!

Was anybody else urging Declan to jog off so the referee didn't book him for leaving the pitch too slowly?
November 4, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Andre Harriman-Annous replaces Declan Rice.
November 4, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Boy, that's another really soft yellow card to Arsenal. This referee has been very quick to his pocket for the Gunners. Not at all for the home side.
November 4, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Max Dowman just got kicked well up on his leg. No card.

And now the same guy came through on him late, less than 10 seconds after the ball went back into play. No card.
I will never understand how they can have 18 fouls and only one card, but we have 9 fouls and somehow 3 cards
November 4, 2025 at 7:26 PM
I thought for a second that Declan Rice was the Arsenal player involved in that coming together and that he was getting the card.
Oh dear, Mr. Referee. That's a horrible yellow card decision.

Norgaard was fouled from behind. Stretched for the ball, got the ball, and then was stepped on.

He didn't step on the opponent.

Looks like Bukayo Saka has gone over to the left wing to accomodate Max Dowman on the right.
November 4, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Just remember, folks: Mikel Arteta HATES young players.
November 4, 2025 at 7:22 PM
If Arsenal win a penalty, Dowman takes it, right? Give him a chance to be the youngest scorer in the Champions League, too.
November 4, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Myles Lewis-Skelly replaces Piero Hincapie. Ben White reaplces Jurrien Timber.
November 4, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Max Dowman replaces Leandro Trossard.

That makes Max Dowman the youngest player ever in the Champions League.

Now get Declan Rice off the pitch, Mikel!
