I'd say that for at least the last decade, if not longer, that this is all it has been. The marketing is innovation for the consumer

there is a lot of dishonesty and willful ignorance and theatrics going on, and my practice when i see a coalition of powerful people with opposing interests all abandoning logic & nodding in unison is to assume their motive is greed until a more plausible explanation is presented.

and most of the social media apps in the US now are run by defense and intelligence contractors who are effectively state actors running influence campaigns on a national party’s behalf. they sow discord and doubt in democratic institutions at intensities that put russian active measures to shame.

If we get another pandemic under Trump, it's almost certain they will hide information even more than with covid and also implement anti-health measures like mask bans, mandatory in persons, other BS that maximizes infections

We are at the point with H5N1 where it looks like it's about to turn into a pandemic relatively soon so there's an argument for stockpiling there too. It's mutating and the number of human cases keeps going up.
I would turn your dollars into things you can use in the long term because I am operating under the assumption the dollar gets weaker and everything gets more expensive and maybe there's an economic crash if Trump does even 1/2 of the stuff he has promised to do
