The problem is: they've mistaken correlation for causation. They think their parents and grandparents had a good life *because* of manufacturing jobs. When, in reality, their parents and grandparents had a good life *despite* manufacturing jobs, because of unions, high taxes, and social policies.

Well, that went better than I would have dared hope.
Two of the three players had never played D&D at all, in any edition. Or any TTRPG, for that matter. The other ran and played 3.5 back in the day, but nothing since then.
I ran The Jeweler's Sanctum from OSE's Adventure Anthology 1.

It's been a day and a half since this happened, and I'm still giddy. United 2-1 City. I'm gonna ride the high off of this derby day for at least a week. 😄
