Kari Enqvistin kolumni: Nykyinen tiedevastaisuus on niin posketonta, ettei se ”ole edes väärin”
Tieteenvastaisuus viihtyy kapinoinnin vanavedessä – kohkaajille on yhteistä, että he eivät yleensä ymmärrä, miten tiede toimii, Enqvist kirjoittaa.

It’s not a “US plan”, it’s Moscow’s plan, dictated to guilty men in the White House. Setting aside the injustices being pushed on Ukraine, this would be a disaster for European security & guarantee a war with 🇷🇺 in a few years, in which, presumably, 🇺🇸 and 🇷🇺 are on the same side.

The bilaterally worked out "capitulation" of Ukraine between Washington and Moscow is a farce.

Chef's kiss for the Labour clowns if they end up destroying the NHS as well as their own party with their ruinous jackbooted approach to immigration. That's a very special level of failure.

It breaks my mind that two British political parties have seen scenes like this and decided to try and replicate it in Britain. Thuggary, lawlessness, state brutality. Farage and Badenoch decided they liked the look of it.
This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

I spent the entire day trying to make someone care about Russia’s murder of 24 people, most of them elderly, who were simply standing in line to collect their pensions.

Russia dropped an aerial bomb on them as if they were a military command or strategic object.

BBC using the phrase 'approved asylum seekers' today. It's technically correct I suppose, but emotionally barren - taking a word that inspires sympathy and turning it into a dead administrative phrase. They are refugees.

This is not just "getting it wrong". It is not propaganda or narrative twisting or stupidity or Putin kompromat. It makes him look ludicrous, even to his own base.

This is cognitive decline. Information that goes against what he thought before just won't stay in. He sort of resets every 15 minutes.
Trump: "People go into war, think they're gonna win the war, then they get their asses kicked & they lose their country and lose millions of lives. Nobody goes into a war thinking they're gonna lose. I'm sure Ukraine thought they were gonna win. You're gonna beat somebody that's 15 times your size"

For the past decade, European leaders have been caught in a reactive loop: shocked when Trump behaves exactly as he always does, relieved when he momentarily pivots, paralysed when he inevitably reverts. This is not grand strategy, it’s political whiplash.

The fact Trump thinks this is good progress, & that he is urging Ukraine & its European allies to negotiate on this basis without even demanding a ceasefire now, shd finally convince European leaders to ignore the US & do what's needed for their own security - ie ensure Ukraine wins & Russia loses.

Russia invaded Ukraine!

Russia must be forced to make concessions if we want to avoid future war. Instead, Ukraine is pressured to make them, which will encourage future wars.

It's our land! Our people live there!
