Now watching “The Slaver Weapon” episode of Star Trek Animated and the Kzinti are carrying phasers that look just like the ones Kirk used, but they’re painted brown. This show was so cheap they couldn’t even afford to build new props.

I’m watching “The Ambergis Element” from the Star Trek Animated Series and one of the creatures who lives underwater says that they “gathered edibles”. No wonder these episodes are so trippy.

Don’t know if it matters much to everyone who is piling on Gavin Newsom, but no one who is being talked about as a ‘presidential contender’ this far out from an election has ever gotten close to the nomination. So I’d say save your bile for whoever we settle on in 2028.

I’ve used Instapaper for years instead of Pocket. I think it has all the same features. It started out as a project by an indie developer, briefly passed through Pinterest’s hands, and is now its own separate corp. so it should last for awhile. @kagrox.bsky.social

I worked at an EBX (a game store) at the Beverly Center years ago and one night Donald Sutherland came in near closing. He asked me to pick out two Super Nintendo games and two Genesis games for his grandkids since he had no idea what was popular. Then he paid with his American Express card.
