I think Dorsey got it right with @bsky.app's aim. We're watching massive issues unfold with corporate-owned (possibly soon state-owned) media and socials for political purpose.
You can't exactly 'ban' atproto. The US government might get an app pulled, but not every variant of every bsky client.
