Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is streaming now on Netflix. Feels weird to root for an expensive IP movie like it's some artistic underdog but as far as four-quadrant tentpoles go it was genuinely good and honestly dispiriting it didn't find its now-feverish audience when it mattered.

So many of these initiatives by stores promise an intense degree of surveillance for the most mundane and minor set of conveniences. Hardly “magic.”
