Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair."

One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."

If you find yourself arguing that human beings shouldn't be provided with toothbrushes and toothpaste, you are the 1000% the baddies.

The lawyers making this argument for the government should be shunned.

Israel's Greek Ambassador accused Athens of allowing antisemitic graffiti.

Mayor's reply:

"We do not accept lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians…the Amb. focuses solely on graffiti (which, obviously, is being removed) at a time when an unprecedented genocide is taking place in Gaza."

I walked around Capitol Hill with Mahmoud Khalil as he met with members of Congress.

Eyes widened. Heads turned. People continually stopped to thank & take photos with him.

A look at what it’s like for a pariah to walk through the belly of the beast that vilified him:
On a Mission: Mahmoud Khalil Visits Capitol Hill
Today, I walked through the corridors of power with the Palestinian student protest leader.

As a reminder, this was NYT's framing of the political motivations of the hacker. Personally, I do not think that this is the most relevant way to frame the "politics" of a hacker who uses a slur as a username, calls themselves "violently racist," and RTs swastikas. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/04/n...

In the past month NYT has published 32 articles that mention Mamdani and “globalize the intifada", 13 that mention Israel's fake "aid" agency that's killed 800+, 5 on Israel's starvation campaign and two that mention, in passing, child amputees in Gaza. I argue this is makes no sense and is depraved
Child Amputees, Aid Massacres, Mass Starvation—the Israeli War Crimes NYT Covers Less than Mamdani and 'Globalize the Intifada'
Theoretical, third order, speculative violence must be condemned while actual, real world mass violence, that actually exists in reality, is seen as normal and unworthy of sustained coverage.

In any normal presidential administration, this is the kind of action that would lead to Congressional hearings and even raise the specter of impeachment; a Cabinet Secretary telling members of Congress their laws simply do not apply to her. Yet this will barely make the news.

Can confirm this email is authentic — and about nothing in it is true.

Social Security income is still taxed. This bill does nothing to change that.

It’s willful disinformation on the part of SSA. It’s a lie.
Hi, I think a lot of us received e-mails from SSA saying that social security will no longer be taxed - and that somehow there is "enhanced deductions" (how much enhancement can you make to 0?) for those over 65. What part, if any, of this is true? Thank you!
