The Free Speech President has now pulled two of the three major late night hosts off the air through threats and intimidation because of their jokes. Obviously I’m behind Jimmy Kimmel 100% in the face of this fascist garbage. Speech against this admin isn’t just being chilled, they’re freezing it.

Says everything that anyone needs to know about the state of America in this moment that we’re talking 400% more about Charlie Kirk’s death than about the school shooting that happened yesterday. Because to some of us, only one of those is unacceptable, not both.

Lo, she was slain in silence.
A Congresswoman. Her husband. Their dog.
No martyrdom. No tributes.
No martyr-makers wept for her name.
Her name—Melissa Hortman.

Yet Charlie Kirk, Boy-Priest of Gun Lust, falls—
and the altars overflow with lamentation.

Hypocrisy is the true state religion.

Greg's right about this, as well as about Trump's assaults on immigrants. These sadistic - even homicidal - "policies" are widely unpopular, and opposition to them is not only morally right, but politically astute.
Wow. New NBC poll finds 78% support vaccines, including 72% of independents and 67% of Republicans.

As I keep trying to argue, Democrats should polarize the shit out of the vaccine/public health debate. Make people take sides. It will split Republicans and MAGA.

See this:
Trump/RFK are decapitating our public health system, a pillar of American greatness. So Dem Govs should scour every corner of the law for creative new ways to defend their people from this madness.

Dems should polarize this debate to the max.

Thoughts on this here:

With Tom Lehrer's passing, I suppose this is a moment to share the story of the prank he played on the National Security Agency, and how it went undiscovered for nearly 60 years.

They are out of energy and they are starving to death.

I have never seen a statement from a news organisation like it.

We are in an information war. Social media platforms are terrain. This isn't hyperbole.

They seized Twitter and it has done immeasurable damage. Bluesky is better defended, but they will attempt to seize it as well. Block on sight.
I am with Noah on this point: block Vance and any other high level republican politician on sight.

This isn't like a normal right wing troll setting up shop: this is someone with the powers of the government behind him. Death threats are the LEAST of our concerns here.
people have said you should block vance because he's looking for engagement to share on twitter.

the corollary there is that engaging with him is extremely unsafe. He wants to put you on blast and see if he can get his nazi followers to send you death threats. 1
