At the very least the EU can embargo Kaliningrad and sever the shipping route from the exclave to Belarus. Oh, and just constantly buzz it with drones. Make it expensive for the Russians.

I am afraid this is coldly right.

The UK, Australia and Canada are particularly vulnerable because of our shared language and culture with the US.

We, meaning everyine, and the UK government need to act accordingly.
god I hate this I hate this I hate it I hate it, I hate that the mainstream right has gone this mad and racist and radicalised, I hate that no one seems to know how to stop it from getting worse, it worries me so much and I hate it all
Get down off that cross, you’re a far right inciter of pogroms.

It's simple, if you throw paint on a plane then you get proscribed and any 80 year olds defending you get arrested.

If you ask people to burn down hotels, and they try, you get an interview in the Telegraph and positive coverage in the BBC.

That's sensible, proportionate policing.

Get that Europeans? We both don't help Ukraine enough because we're excessively pacifist and the US does all the work, but also help them too much and spoil the chances of ending the war because we're warmongers.

Support for Ukraine is a moral imperative, a matter of survival for a free Europe.
The Economist reports that Pentagon officials have reached out an unspecified allied state, telling them to put an end to their continued arms supplies to Ukraine.

The allied state rejected the request.

If the Starmer government doesn't understand that grovelling towards Trump will just make the UK look ridiculous towards the EU and China without any gains with the US then Labour is going to lose the respect of Right as well as Left wing UK voters too

The effort was great. The question should be what was the purpose of all of the UK government efforts towards the US? We never appeared to be the target, and weren't. It just looked like knee-jerk special-relationship-ism.

And that's been a story of the last 9 years.

Just watched Rachel Reeves on Sky News talking about negotiating a trade deal with the USA as if it's still a normal country.
Everywhere else in Europe recognises the MAGA changes for what they are and are derisking - British Government has lost the plot I think.

London summit on Sunday all the more urgent.
- Keep pressing Trump on guarantees, even if prospect fading
- Do all possible to avoid Trump blaming Ukr and/or Europe for a no-deal
- No alt. to rearmament in every scenario
- Prepare to keep Ukr armed to best poss. degree e.g. what can ROK/Turkey sell?

Agree that Farage may end up misreading how much anti-Americanism is a potential factor even on the UK Right.

But the UK government is also misreading MAGA politics even if Mandelson manouevres his way around this.

Trump's Washington is not about dealmaking, it's about bullying and submission.
Farage needs to be careful if he's not going to start looking a bit Lord Haw-Haw-ish even to his supporters.
Sorry so the whole thing is because Farage’s feelings are hurt people didn’t come to his shitty party? That seems like the lead. You can’t run foreign policy by tantrum
