Lovely book on sale.
Lent is only $2.99 as an ebook right now, so if you happen to want a book about a Dominican monk casting out demons in Renaissance Florence -- what, it's a perfectly normal book like normal people write, well, that part of it, anyway! www.amazon.com/Lent-Jo-Walt...

From four years ago today. I went out at sunset, reeling from images of insurrection. From the park, the high bird-like sounds of children's voices echoed from the sledding hill, and the little pond across the road from the Loppet center filled up with mallard ducks for the night.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.

More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.

Now.

The tl;dr is “vote for the DFLer” but I e-mailed every Republican running in a city district to ask who they think won the Presidential race in 2020 and now I need a post to share the r…

Looks like this might be continuing. Intriguing!
To my moderate horror, several more lines of dialogue pushed into my brain.

Renndy’s clearly a dick. Wish I knew what he was.

This is helpful.
I called Senator Smith (and left a message because the lines were busy). I don't know if it's worth calling Amy K, who literally cosponsored this POS bill, but I let Tina know I opposed it and used both this argument and "loaded weapon in the hands of Republican AGs."
Literally all you have to say about KOSA: "A site can't tell who's a minor without age-verifying every visitor to the site. I don't want to have to scan my face or my ID every time I visit any site on the internet and I don't want that information out there to get hacked."

I feel pretty enthusiastic about this shift. I wasn't feeling clear to donate before, but now I am.
If, like me, you think that the clear way forward is to elect Kamala Harris in 2024, this is one of the times I think a direct campaign donation is super worthwhile. This is the link Joe Biden shared on Twitter for people to donate to support Kamala Harris's campaign.

Reposting so I can find this again.
I do not know what this is or what it means or where it came from. I got this chunk of dialogue in my head with no other information. This seemed like the best way to get it out. There is no follow-up in my head at this time.

This is a fantastic essay which I am glad to have read.
Oh, it turns out I figured out what to do with all of my anger! It’s a huge, free essay on whiteness and boundaries and why I spent all of yesterday bopping white liberal racism on the head. www.patreon.com/posts/108254...

Story day! "Too Little, Too Little, Too Much" is one of the darkest and more personal stories I've ever written, about childhood abuse and pyrokinesis. It's about starting fires.

The great folks at Pseudopod reprinted it today *and* produced a fabulous podcast audio version!
