Many mallard ducks.
From four years ago today. I went out at sunset, reeling from images of insurrection. From the park, the high bird-like sounds of children's voices echoed from the sledding hill, and the little pond across the road from the Loppet center filled up with mallard ducks for the night.

First day of my first Covid infection I read the just released Murderbot novel, System Collapse. Then if course I had to spend day two rereading Network Effect. Fun times. (Yay for Paxlovid! And as for My recent trip to Cifornia, I regret nothing!)
