One of the decade’s most underrated action pictures is a fairy tale set in an alternate universe where Dolph comes to realize his king is a bad guy and sets out to rescue the beautiful queen. It’s insane no major studio ever gave director Isaac Florentine a shot at a big action blockbuster.
#Watched Bridge of Dragons (1999) - This movie has neither bridges nor dragons. It does however have a Dolph as “Warchild” fighting an evil Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa who dresses like a cut rate M Bison. Also, I’m like 90% sure all the Foley work was done by DC’s infamous crack squirrels, because IT NUTS.

FALCON CREST debuted on CBS #OTD in 1981.

Jane Wyman's Angela remains a standout in a genre dominated by strong women. And David Selby's Richard is an antihero for the ages.

All 9 seasons of this nighttime soap from creator Earl Hamner Jr. (THE WALTONS) are on The Roku Channel and Plex. #SoapSky

I've seen a lot of lazy writing in direct-to-video action movies, but this is insane.

Actors did not exist until 1981.
Timothée Chalamet names his picks for greatest actors of all time:

“Denzel’s the Goat, Christian Bale’s the Second Goat, and Joaquin’s the Strange Goat”

Different? I think we’ve seen this show at least 40 times.
Good to see everyone being very normal about a fun looking show that is going to try something different while complaining franchises never try anything different while complaining that it is too different.
🚨 BREAKING - New Star Trek: #StarfleetAcademy Poster!

The first season of the new #StarTrek live-action series premieres January 15th on Paramount+

🖖 Will YOU be watching?

That’s part of it, but more than that — people like to watch smart, dedicated professionals doing a job of work, solving a problem, and doing it extremely well, especially when they are people easy to identify with. It’s why TOS will still be popular 40 years from now and the newest shows won’t be.
I believe that the success of Star Trek was in large part down to the fact that it catered to older children and adults simultaneously with smart but accessible stories. The idea that there needs to be different shows for different ages is missing a key appeal of Trek, IMO.

Will be interesting to learn 1) how they finally talked Dante into this and 2) how they skirted the rights issues.

Look at all those white Republicans nodding and laughing.
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

Tapper ready for a Fox News gig.
“This is not abnormal.” Jake Tapper defends Donald Trump for sleeping during his Cabinet meeting. Maybe instead of defending him, Tapper should write a book on Trump’s physical and cognitive decline.

Is this some of that economic anxiety I heard so much about?
President Trump unleashed a xenophobic tirade against Somali immigrants on Tuesday during a publicly broadcast cabinet meeting, calling them “garbage” he does not want in the U.S. as he sought to refocus public attention on his anti-immigration rhetoric.

That’s right! I’m wrong. Jessica Harper was the wife.
Not his wife. He hooked up with her while he was with Vinnie in Vancouver. IIRC, they hooked up once and then he turned her down because he felt guilty about cheating on his wife. Frank's wife did actually leave him after he paid with money Vinnie gave him for her kidney transplant.

First (and only?) appearance of Bond’s green Bentley. Would love to have seen that in action.
Let's keep this going.

For Day 2 we have Connery's second (and best?) outing, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. It's the first appearance of Blofeld--from the neck down--along with his signature cat, and it's the introduction of Desmond Llewelyn as Q:

“Appeared to”

Jesus, what cowardice.
Donald Trump appeared to struggle to stay awake for the second time in a month on Tuesday.

Trump's eyes were cumulatively closed for ~6 minutes over roughly 75 minutes, per a Post analysis of multiple video feeds.
