just a peak of what's going on in Ole Miss. just fascinating to see how much racism by counterprotesters is ignored by media and college admin when taking about "safety" on campus

i am pushing 40 years old and the amount "liberal" millennials and genx people on here adopting the same "these naive youngsters don't know anything" mindset they were up against 20 years ago is sad to see. a rapid boomerfication of tens of millions of people. absolutely embarrassing.

States’ Rights is an American political philosophy that means states are allowed to be more authoritarian than the federal government, but cannot be more liberal than the federal government

It's probably not good that America has all these laws and rules in place to punish powerful people, but the powerful people have decided that they're all so godlike that nobody can really enforce any of it, so back to punishing you, the shithead peon(because it's easy!)

at this point frankly I don't think there's any scale of mass death - certainly elsewhere in the world, and likely at home too - that US society won’t metabolize into business as usual

I dunno if this is blasphemy or nobody even gives a fuck, but a while back I tried to watch Skinamarink and I just couldn't. I'm pretty patient and willing to let movies cook, but I was staring at a wall and a ceiling for like 20 minutes and decided I couldn't live my life that way and turned it off

What's a favorite movie of yours that most people may not have seen or may not usually show up on "favorites" lists? Mine is True Stories.
