Just so we're clear: This administration's blatant, unapologetic choice to deny food to 42 million people—to have the money sitting there and say, "No, we'll let them go hungry"—is simply a more overt display of why homelessness and poverty keep worsening in this country.

Because it's *decided.*

If they claim they haven't heard the quote, play it for them and ask for a response.

If they claim it's being taken out of context, play a longer version and ask for a response.

If they try to sidestep the issue, play it over again and ask for a response.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Hold on a second. Answer the question. As Speaker, do you believe it's appropriate to use American cities as training grounds for the military, calling those people 'the enemy within'?

JOHNSON: I'm not comment on your characterization of what the president said.

The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Rep. Andy Ogles -- who lied about his college major, who lied about graduate work at Dartmouth, who lied about his financial disclosures, who lied that he had been a cop, who lied he was an international sex crimes expert, and who knows what else -- is now spreading lies about other politicians too.
This is a shockingly racist call by a House Republican for Zohran Mamdani to be denaturalized and deported. But instead of being viewed as unserious, it's now being promoted and circulated by LibsOfTikTok, Benny Johnson and MAGA regulars.

Democrats need to understand that Republicans are serious.

She’s lying, of course, but her lie is that she’s deeply incompetent and uninformed about basic aspects of her job.

Either way, she should be forced out in shame.
NEW: As video and news reports of immigrants and U.S. citizens being detained by masked men claiming to be ICE agents continue to dominate headlines and spark fears from coast to coast, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Congress she had no idea this was happening.

Left messages with Senators Warnock 202-224-3643 and Ossoff 202-224-3521
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

i continue to believe pretty strongly that enabling people to live in ways that permanently eliminate virtually all material concerns from their lives breaks politics and representative government, and that representative government must counterattack those conditions to ensure it's own survival
just fundamentally disconcerting to learn one lives in a world where tons of powerful people behave in ways that aren't aligned with any form of rational self-interest or even understandable irrational self-interest, but it also means trying to foresee the future just can't be your thing
