One of our biggest dilemmas as a research group working on digital health is that the people who are most affected by health inequality also tend to have the lowest digital literacy and access.

My latest sock toy is finally complete: three headed hydra, imagined by 7yo and made by me. Entirely made from old clothes and scraps. Most of his decorations came from a pair of gloves (the fingers are his legs). He has a pipe cleaner skeleton which makes him poseable.

ER doc here! This is a lie. Wait times are up because the American healthcare system is an unsustainable business model and a for-profit national healthcare system just doesn’t work. These problems will continue to get worse until we change that system. It literally has nothing to do with immigrants

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I finished reading SPOCK’S WORLD by @diane.dianeduane.com last night with my Star Trek book club and the line that knocked us all flat on our asses was when a smug Vulcan logic bro says “the data speaks for itself,” and Bones replies “NO data speaks for itself. data just lies there. PEOPLE speak.”
