I’m properly sick for the first time since my initial illness that triggered MECFS in 2022. I’ve been good at avoiding sick people, crowds & indoor gatherings but saw my niblings earlier in the week & I think that probably did it. Headache, sore throat, muscle aches. Worried about a relapse. #mecfs

Small irritation, but on Viki, they’ve translated a character as ‘Miss’ Shang when she is clearly being addressed as Boss/Owner Shang. She’s worked hard for this business - give her the title! Feels misogynistic. #legendofZangHai

Started #legendofZangHai . Already impressed with the quality and Xiao Zhan hasn’t even shown up yet. kid actors are great and voiced by actual children (bar is low for cdramas in that one).The cinematography is excellent. That first episode goes hard though - what am I letting myself in for?

Finally finished #bloodriver last week. Not to post spoilers but I was surprised both of them made it to the end alive. I was convinced one of them would end up dying for the other.

Some folks have brought this up in comments, but just saying... maybe we should ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION to the multitude of studies showing COVID infections (even "mild" ones) cause brain changes and ongoing cognitive decline. We've been letting our young people get COVID over & over & over again.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Graduated with an art degree & no job, flatmate got me some temp work w/ him at national book charity for a while, they ran out of work for me, worked elsewhere for 3y but eventually returned to the book charity and never left! Worked in outreach but being tech capable led me to managing their LMS.

I’ve finally reading The Husky and His White Cat Shizun now it’s available on London Libraries Libby. Now I just need a nice librarian to add volume 8, 9, 10 & 11, when it comes out. Great read - very hard to put down. And now I finally understand why people kept referring to Chu Wanning as a tree.

I’ve finally reading The Husky and His White Cat Shizun now it’s available on London Libraries Libby. Now I just need a nice librarian to add volume 8, 9, 10 & 11, when it comes out. Great read - very hard to put down. And now I finally understand why people kept referring to Chu Wanning as a tree.
