If this policy really was enacted, I would hope to see civil disobedience and non-compliance with the state across civic society in an attempt to disrupt and block it. Countries have the right to enforce borders, not steal people's stuff for performative cruelty. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

If you blame migrants collectively for the horrible actions of a few but do not hold white people collectively responsible when white people commit heinous crimes, that's racism. Just saying.

A fair critique here. And one that's been made before but no one in government seems to want to listen. The Curriculum for Wales requires Welah history to be taught at all levels but never specifies what that means in practice. It needs to be far more directive.

The people of Caerphilly are not nearly as gullible as Nigel Farage thought they were. For him and his abominable party, the by-election loss is a huge setback that they weren’t expecting✍️ Martin Shipton

Being an academic is like carrying an armload full of balls. Sometimes you pick up new balls and add to the pile, but most of the time other people are putting balls in your pile. Eventually you start dropping balls and then people get upset with you. But no one can hold all the balls at once.

Just stupid. The govt's hands-off idleness in Higher Education means that universities don't pick students and enforce their offers - students dictate to unis who they'll take. This is why you don't try to 'govern' with a quasi-market and a joke regulator. (1/2) inews.co.uk/news/univers...

Decades of mechanistic talk about university degrees as if they were bundles of 'skills' and 'prep' are about to be proved completely wrong (obviously). Want to get a real boost? Do History or English.

Is WWE folklore? If so, who are the 'folk' and what is the 'lore'? These are questions my brilliant Folklore MA student is asking for her dissertation. Please share this and, if you watch WWE, please consider filling in her survey. It would be a HUGE help: forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/respon...
