Keep hearing about Val Kilmer's cancer but he was cancer free for a decade. He died of pneumonia. Pneumonia is often caused by a bacteria and is passed person to person. It can also be the secondary result of a viral infection. Either way, cancer didn't kill him, someone sick breathing on him did

Found when looking for something else on a Sanborn map. 4338-40 S. Wentworth was built in 1913 as the Adam Theatre. It was later renamed the Emmett and in 1945 became the Atom. Now it's a church. (Photo not mine.) Anders Lund was the architect.
