I was surprised when reading the South Park YouTube comments that so many people did not know that Noem shot her dog, learning of it only from South Park’s running gag of Noem shooting dogs. “Apparently this is based on an actual events,” were many comments.
Pretty much all I know about Kristi Noem is she murdered a dog but if someone murdered a dog then that's really all you need to know about them imo.

I remember scouring the newspapers the day after Colbert’s hysterical skit for reactions. I was stunned realizing the extent of the mainstream media blackout. That, along with the Jeff Gannon coverup and the firing of @froomkin.bsky.social from Washington Post, were pivotal events for me in 2006.
If more people had been as brave as Colbert then and were as brave as he is now, we would not be here today.
