It’s official: I’m running for Congress to represent San Francisco!

I’ll fight for our city – against Trump’s takeover, for our values, & for real progress. I’ve delivered on housing, healthcare, clean energy, & civil rights – & I’ll do it again.

Let’s build the future our city & country deserve.

"On the last episode of his show before he was killed," Kirk told "his audience, falsely, that “one in 22 Black men will be a murderer in their lifetime” and that “by age of 23, half of all Black males have been arrested and not enough of them have been arrested.”

SB 79 — our legislation to zone for more housing near high quality public transit — just passed the Assembly Local Government Committee, its final policy committee.

We need more housing & we need more housing near transit.

Thank you to my colleagues & to our amazing coalition.

Our legislation to authorize dense housing near high-quality public transit just passed its final Senate Committee (Appropriations) & now heads to the Senate floor.

SB 79 will help California reduce its housing shortage, increase transit ridership & advance our climate goals.

Big step forward!

I, for one, welcome the “abundance” fight. It shows the left can fight Trumpism while wrestling with how we can be better than we’ve been.

I have no interest in “actually the government has been doing great” liberalism.

there is no wildland firefighting tactic which is effective under conditions of 70 mph winds, 10% RH, and 60-degree temperatures. none. it doesn't exist and it never will. that lesson has been learned and paid for with the lives of hundreds of wildland firefighters.
